Important Research Survey for Directors of Nursing
LHP Skillnet and the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland (RCSI) are researching the educational needs and perceptions of work environment, burnout, and turnover intention of Directors of Nursing in long-term care.
We need your help with our survey on educational supports and perceptions of work environment, burnout, and turnover intention. Your input is vital for us to review what supports could be put in place to improve retention and support top tier clinical management in their work.
The role of Director of Nursing can be complex and challenging, especially in nursing homes, with increased demands, particularly since the pandemic. Our research aims to explore potential factors that influence the intention to leave with nursing leaders, which we hope can help identify interventions to mitigate these factors.
The survey is anonymous, and Directors of Nursing and Assistant Directors of Nursing are encouraged to participate. The data gathered will inform a comprehensive report to be shared with healthcare providers, policymakers, and other stakeholders to drive change and improve the work environment for nursing leaders in long-term care.
Thank you to all those who have already completed the survey.
