Course Description
The purpose of this programme is to help GPs, Practice Managers and Practice Administrators navigate the challenges of running a successful and profitable Healthcare Practice. It will provide GPs and Practice Managers with the practical tools, skills and resources to run an efficient and streamlined Practice in the core areas of Staff Management, Practice Finances, Policies and Communication.
AIM
The aim of this training programmes programme is to equip GPs, Practice Managers and Practice administrators with the tools, knowledge and skills required to address all aspects of managing a Practice.
OBJECTIVES
- Increased knowledge of the Practice Management Role
- Practice Policies to ensure that your Practice is fully compliant
- Tools and Skills for successful recruiting and management of staff
- A full understanding of the PCRS, state schemes, grants & allowances applicable to General Practice
- Ensure that the Practice is maximising on private and state income
- Increase awareness of all the Practice resources and use of Digital Tools
- Improve Communication to Patients and amongst the Practice Team.
- All participants will have access to a library of resources and templates that can be used to set up and implement systems and processes in the Practice.

DELIVERY
The programme is delivered through a mix of live online webinars with recordings, additional material and resources available on-demand through a secure online portal.
All live Webinars take place on Thursdays from 12.30pm to 2.00pm through Zoom
EVALUATION AND ASSESSMENT
All Participants are invited and encouraged to carry out an assignment at the beginning of the Programme. Full details are given at the first session. Participants are given a template to help guide them through the process.
There are some mini quizzes through to ensure that you understand the pre-recorded content.
There is adequate time given for full interaction and for participants to ask questions on the various topics.
There is no formal evaluation to pass the programme
CERTIFICATION
All Participants receive a Best Practice Certificate on completion of the Programme.

GPs, GP Assistants, GP Registrars, Practice Managers, Practice Staff who have a management function in their Practice.
FEES
The subsidised cost of the core Practice Management programme is €840 per learner for LHP Skillnet member companies. The non-subsidised cost is €1,197 per learner.
