80% of women experiencing menopause are at work. 1 in 4 have considered leaving work due to menopause symptoms, 1 in 10 have resigned due to menopause symptoms, 14% have gone part time, and 8% have not applied for promotion. (Fawcett Society Report 2022). This webinar will cover the importance of menopause awareness in the workplace, it will provide you with information about menopause, the symptoms, and the potential effect on those in the workplace.
Organisations will receive certification for Introduction to Menopause and Menopause Awareness Training for Colleagues. Leading on from this training, a separate Menopause Awareness Training for Managers and Leaders is available and advised.
Aim
This course aims to start the conversation about the importance of supporting menopause at work.
- Learn why there is need to understand menopause, especially in the workplace.
- Know why and when menopause occurs.
- Recognise and understand menopause symptoms and how they may impact work performance.
- Understand different approaches to managing menopause and where to get factual information.
- Learn about specific supports that organisations can offer.

About Your Tutor

A Registered nurse and UCD Smurfit MBA graduate, Kathleen Kinsella has over 30 years’ experience in both private and public sectors of the Healthcare industry in Ireland. She also works as Honorary Senior lecturer (School of Nursing) and is a Fellow and Honorary Associate (Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery) at Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI).
She has qualified as the first Ireland based licenced Menopause in the Workplace trainer with Henpicked™ UK and has also completed Principles & Practice of Menopause Care (PPMC) course with British Menopause Society and Diploma Women’s Health Royal College of Physicians Ireland.
