Identification, Evaluation and Management of Risk within Home Support Services (19/4/2023)

Course Description

In line with the upcoming regulation of Home Support services, Service Providers will be required to effectively identify, evaluate and manage the risks associated with service provision, ensuring the quality and safety of the care provided. A proactive and reactive Risk Management framework is a real indicator of an effective governance model and requires a holistic approach to ensure a comprehensive response by the service.

The risk management model provided in this course provides a structured approach to the identification, assessment, management and ongoing review of risks associated with the provision of the service.

This course will consider corporate, service provision and individual risk management requirements and will provide participants with a framework to support the identification of risks, allocate a risk rating, mitigate the risk through the use of control measures and prioritise their management through the service’s internal communications model.
